JAMES FOSTER
Practice Owner and Registered Prosthetist Technician
James was born in Victoria and moved to Gold Coast in 1980 with his parents and two older brothers.
James has lived and worked on the Gold Coast for over 30 years.
A keen sportsman and lover of AFL football, James started his studies in dental technology after declining an offer to play AFL football with the Brisbane Bears at the age of 17.
He completed high school in 1986 and went on to study at Kangaroo Point in Removable Prosthetics and Technology followed by an apprenticeship lasting 3 years in Brisbane.
James continued his studies at QLD University and completed the Grandfather course in prosthetics in 1994 and is currently registered as a dental technician and prosthetist.
James has continued his professional development by attending multiple courses outside of his working environment, including the setting of teeth and the inclination to occlusion, impression taking and compatible materials, implant over-denture retained prosthesis, oral photography and scanning, and personal and administrative development in the medical field. All of which have contributed to his 30 years' of experience and knowledge in the dental profession.
James is the loving husband of his Hungarian wife Imola and a loving father of his two daughters, Grace Mary and Jasmine Eve.
Imola also works in the practice as a dental therapist and hygienist, and the two pride themselves on honesty and good family values, which is portrayed not only to their patients, friends, family and staff, but it also stretches out to the broader community.
Dr. Pulkit Lakhani
Dental Surgeon, Specialised Dental Implantologist & Orthodontist
Dr. Pulkit Lakhani is a highly skilled and seasoned dental implantologist with over 13 years of experience in restoring smiles and oral health. After earning a degree in dentistry from India, Dr. Lakhani, pursued Masters in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics in India. Thereafter, he did Implant certification and fellowship with International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI, USA), and earned recognition for excellence in surgical precision and patient care. He is also a comprehensive certified Invisalign provider with special interests in smile makeovers.
With great passion for innovation, he stays at the forefront of implant technology, offering solutions from single implants to advanced procedures such as All-on-4/6/X, Full mouth rehabilitations, sinus and bone grafting procedures apart from delivering general dental procedures, Invisalign, veneers, crowns and bridges.
Known for his gentle approach and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Lakhani has placed thousands of implants and helped countless patients regain confidence and function. As your treating dentist, he is an empathetic communicator and a genuine listener, who loves to deliver patient centred treatment, keeping expectations and safety as utmost priority, making it a comforting personalised dental journey for his patients.
His professional journey includes affiliations with esteemed organizations earning recognitions at global platforms including Fellowship of International Congress of Oral Implantology, USA (FICOI); Membership of International Congress of Oral Implantology, USA (MICOI); Membership of Academy of Oral Implantology (MAOI); Mastership International Congress of Oral Implantology, USA; Affiliate Member Orthodontist of Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS); Member of Indian Orthodontic Society (MIOS); Fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy, USA (FPFA) and Member of Indian Dental Association (MIDA).
He regularly lectures at dental conferences, and mentors emerging dentists in implantology. In pursuit of continuous professional growth, he is a keen academician, research follower and has been sharing his own clinical journey at various international platforms. Following his zeal for the same, he was awarded with Best Paper Presenter at IAOMR National Conference, and Best Table Clinic Presentation in ICOI Conference, 2024 and has 20 International and National Publications to his credit.
Outside the clinic Dr. Lakhani enjoys spending time with family and friends. As an innate explorer and nature lover, he loves biking and hiking. He is an avid painter and his passion in cosmetic smile designing is rooted from his keen interests in arts and aesthetics, reflecting his belief in striving for excellence with due diligence to balance, compassion and art of living.
IMOLA FOSTER
Oral Health Therapist – Hygienist, Oral Myologist
Imola has been working in private dental practices since 1996 and has graduated as an Oral Health Therapist from Griffith University.
Imola is passionate about providing all preventative and hygiene services to patients, treating children and adults alike. She focuses on maintenance and prevention, good oral health and general health, education and excellence in service. She treats all our patients equally, making sure they feel comfortable in her care.
Imola has also completed her post-graduate studies at Adelaide University School of Dentistry, gaining a Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science, now giving her a wider scope of practice to treat adults and be able to perform restorative treatment for any age group.
She has also undertaken extensive courses in Myofunctional Therapy in the past few years and is a registered Oral Myologist offers pre-orthodontic and myofunctional treatment to help children develop good oral habits and jaw development.
She also runs our Thumb Sucking Cessation program in our dedicated children's area and a passionate advocate for early intervention and professional help for families of young children with non-nutritive sucking habits such as thumb, finger or dummy sucking.
She is married to James, and they have two daughters, Grace and Jasmine, who visit the practice regularly.
She speaks fluent English, Hungarian and Romanian.
